About our Governance

Lighthouse Futures Trust is a registered charity (1145829) and company limited by guarantee (07810498).  Unlike schools & colleges, where they have a board of governors, we have a group of people who fulfil the same function as governors, but they are called Trustees or Directors.   They are all volunteers, so don’t get paid for their work, and are recruited because of their interest in our Vision, and the skills & experience that they bring.   The board meets every 2 months to review: our finances; student progress; staff development & wellbeing; and other items where their input and decisions are required.    The CEO and Operations Director attend all board meetings and other staff are invited to present as and when required.

We are currently looking to recruit a minimum of 3 new trustees, including one further board member with specialist Education experience (to replace a trustee who recently resigned due to family reasons).  Please see Work for Us for further details.
