Keepers is the first micro-business developed by the Lighthouse Futures Trust. The trust provides employment opportunities for people with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder or Learning Difficulty. Keepers is fundamental to our approach and provides an environment for our students to train and develop skills that will help place them into a career for the long term.

In addition to great coffee, drinks and food, Keepers also sells high quality gifts, kitchenware and re-loved clothing.

Currently there are less than 7% of individuals with a learning disability and 15% of individuals with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder in employment. We are passionate about turning this around.
We aspire to 80% in appropriate paid employment. We believe in focusing on the talents, strengths and interests of young people and directly aligning employment experiences and opportunities to these.

We also believe that with the right planning, support and training in addition to selective partnerships with industry, these young people will start to aspire to a brighter future and achieve personal goals.
Lighthouse Union Store is the first in a series of small enterprises designed to bring together our understanding of special needs, education and commercial skills which is a recipe for success! This is an exciting time where our young people are starting to successfully find their place in society with self esteem and confidence.
