National Supported Internship Day 2024

We are immensely proud of our interns for the way they represented Supported Internships and Lighthouse Futures Trust so brilliantly this National Supported Internship Day – and we are incredibly grateful to be partnered with such supportive and dedicated employers who made the week’s celebrations so special. Day 1

Our celebrations started with our incredible partnered employers @sodexogroup at Fortrea. The team delivered a presentation on their experience on our Supported Internship programme to their Sodexo colleagues – talking about the ways in which the internship has transformed their confidence, their work-readiness and their outlook for their futures – followed by incredible feedback from the Sodexo team about the huge benefits of working with our Supported Interns.

An extra special shout out to our wonderful job coach Lisa who baked and decorated a special #NSID24 cake and other sweet treats for the occasion!

Huge well done and THANK YOU to the whole Sodexo at Fortrea team! 

Day 2

Next stop, we were raising awareness of Supported Internships and amplifying our incredible interns’ achievements at NHS Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust!
Our interns and job coaches held a stand at which they highlighted all of the incredible benefits of Supported Internships, both for interns, as well as employers.
Huge thanks to the Organisational Learning, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust team for being so supportive of our programmes and our incredible interns!
Our NSID24 celebrations also saw a BIG moment for our intern-led business ‘Blossom & Light’…
 
Our interns were very proud to officially announce that as of Wednesday 27th March 2024 (aka National Supported Internship Day) – ‘Blossom & Light’ candles will now be stocked at Crag House Farm x Caring For Life!
 
This is a remarkable achievement and we cannot thank the Crag House Farm team enough for their incredible support!

Day 3

Day 3 of our NSID24 celebrations saw our interns, job coaches and incredible partnered employer hosts truly go above and beyond…
 
From holding stands, coffee mornings, delivering tours, delivering talks … to product launches! Our NSID24 celebrations have encompassed all the reasons why Supported Internships are incredible, deeply important programmes.
 
We are beyond proud of our interns  – and feel very fortunate to be partnered with such supportive and dedicated employers.
