Supported Employment for Employers

Our dedicated Supported Employment service provides a fully funded recruitment solution, helping businesses attract, recruit, and retain committed local talent at no cost.

We work with neurodiverse young people and adults with learning disabilities aged 18–30 who are ready for meaningful, long-term employment. These individuals represent a highly motivated and often overlooked talent pool, bringing enthusiasm, loyalty, and a genuine desire to build successful careers.

The biggest challenge for many employers is not simply filling vacancies, it’s reducing staff turnover, minimising recruitment costs, and retaining reliable employees. Our Supported Employment model is designed to address exactly that.

When you partner with us, you gain access to a dedicated Employment Specialist who works alongside your business throughout the recruitment journey, providing ongoing support at no cost.

Tailored Job Matching

We take the time to understand your business, workplace culture, and operational requirements. This enables us to carefully match candidates’ strengths, skills, and interests with the right roles.

Onboarding and Workplace Coaching

We provide practical, on-the-job support and training to help new employees settle into their role quickly, build confidence, and reach full productivity sooner.

Ongoing Retention Support

Our support doesn’t end once a placement is made. We maintain regular contact with both employer and employee, helping to ensure long-term success and job stability.

Who is eligible for your supported employment services?

We assist individuals who face significant barriers to traditional employment. This includes people with learning disabilities or neurodivergent (such as autism or ADHD).

Does hosting a Job Coach cost my business anything?

No. Job Coaching services are fully funded by our agency. The Job Coach is there to ensure the employee learns the tasks up to your company standards, reducing the training burden on your existing management team.

Do I have to pay supported employees the same wage?

Yes. All individuals placed through our supported employment program are hired into competitive positions and must be paid the same standard, competitive wage as any other employee in that same role (and never less than the minimum wage).

What happens if the employee faces challenges on the job?

Our support doesn’t end after the first week. If job duties change, or if performance challenges arise, your dedicated Job Coach will step back in to provide additional training, implement accommodations, and work with your team to find a solution.

What does a Job Coach do?

Think of a Job Coach as your personal career advocate. They help you with:

  • Discovering your skills and career goals.
  • Building a resume and practicing for interviews.
  • Providing on-the-job training and onboarding support.
  • Acting as a liaison between you and your manager to ensure you feel confident and supported.
Will I loose my government benefits if I start working?

This is a very common concern, but working rarely means losing all your benefits. Many programs have “work incentives” that allow you to earn money while maintaining necessary healthcare and partial financial benefits. Our team includes benefits specialists who can help you understand exactly how employment will impact your specific situation.

How much do your services cost?

Nothing! Our Supported Employment services are typically free.

What are the benefits of hiring through a Supported Employment program?

Hiring from our talent pool isn’t just a good deed—it is great for business. Employers report:

  • Higher Retention: Employees placed through supported employment often have significantly higher job retention rates.
  • Dedicated Support: You get a dedicated Job Coach at no cost to your business to assist with training and onboarding.
  • Diverse Culture: Fostering an inclusive workplace boosts overall team morale and mirrors the diversity of your customer base.
What industries do you typically place people in?

We place candidates across a massive variety of industries based on their unique skills. Common sectors include:

  • Administrative & Office Support
  • Retail & Customer Service
  • Hospitality & Food Service
  • Logistics & Warehousing
  • Information Technology (IT)
