Leave of absence requests
We acknowledge that from time-to-time your young person may not be able to come to college due to external factors, for example a family funeral or religious festival. In these circumstances, please ask your job coach for a Leave of Absence form which should be completed and returned to us at least 48 hours in advance. This gives the job coach and the senior leadership team time to review the request so that the absence can be determined either ‘authorised’ or ‘unauthorised’.
What do I do if someone is ill?
Please notify the college by calling Reception on 0113 340 0006 between 8am and 9am on the first day of their illness and on every day thereafter.
Wherever possible, please let us know when you expect them to return to college so that preparations can be made.
If someone is ill and cannot attend their workplace that day, please also contact your job coach directly.
Please note, those experiencing sickness and/or diarrhea are required to stay at home for 48 hours after the first instance occurring.
