Behaviour

Part of our work with young people at Lighthouse Futures Trust is to prepare them for the world of work. We treat them as mature individuals and encourage them to take responsibility for their own decisions. We try to have minimal rules but stress the importance of being polite and having mutual respect for fellow students, staff, and colleagues on employer sites.

Bullying of any type is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. If you have concerns that your young person is being bullied, please contact their job coach in the first instance.

All interns receive an Intern Handbook during induction which talks about the values of the college, and the kind of behaviour expected. They are also made of our Code of Conduct, which is available on our website.

Serious breaches of college rules will result in an initial meeting and may result in temporary or permanent exclusion.
