Progress monitoring
All students will have a personal development plan which is used to monitor and manage their progress throughout the year. The plan will include key aspects from their EHCP, as well as specific targets that are determined by each student with their job coach. Plans are updated weekly, and progress reviews held every half term.
We have planned a formal programme of progress feedback events to ensure that you are aware of your child’s progress. In some cases, we may identify students who are under-performing and feel it would be beneficial to meet with you to discuss and agree an appropriate action plan. We would seek to address these issues via informal communications with you in the first instance.
Every year, we organise internal and external events where parents/carers and students are invited to hear about careers and progression opportunities. The students on our supported internship programme will also be invited to meetings at their employer sites.
