Student Wellbeing Officer
The Wellbeing Support person will play a pivotal role in promoting the emotional, mental, and physical wellbeing of young adults aged 16–25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The postholder will provide practical and emotional support, enabling students to access learning, build resilience, develop independence, and achieve their personal goals in a safe and supportive environment. They will work collaboratively with key staff within the organisation to deliver specific interventions and strategies which address individual needs and that are conducive to positive future outcomes. Working for Lighthouse Futures Trust is often fast paced but is always incredibly rewarding, helping create a positive future for young adults.
Location: Headingley and at Employer sites across Leeds
Term time only, 37.5 hours per week.
Closing date: Noon on 5th December 2025
Salary: £27,000-£29,000 FTE, £25,754-£27,662 actual

Roles at Lighthouse Futures Trust
Our Job Coaches work on site with young people whilst they are on their supported internship programme. They also work with them off-site to help continue develop work-ready skills.
The Curriculum Team work with our pre-interns and supported interns to help them improve their functional English and maths. They work with interns to help them pass their Level 1 and 2 so they are work-ready.
Keeping everything going are our Administration Team. From HR to events, office management to facilities; they’ve got us covered. They make sure bills get paid, phones get answered, and there’s always paper in the printer.
At Carlton House, our Assistant Job Coaches, help our in-house Job Coaches work with our groups of pre-interns. They’re on hand to help everyone out, support learning, and make sure we’re delivering the best we can.
